    We provide project management services to owners from concept through completion. Services include budgeting and scheduling, securing financing, procuring the right design, engineering, and construction teams, leading permitting and approvals, and overseeing design and construction.

    Throughout the process we work closely with our clients to ensure their visions for their projects are realized, and that they are engaged and in control of the process.

    We believe in being collaborative, accessible, and transparent stewards of the client’s projects.

  • Real Estate Advisory

    We advise clients on development strategies, including financial feasibility, constructibility, due diligence, and environmental review.

    We also specialize in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings, and guide clients on redevelopment strategies that balance project goals with historic tax credit and local regulatory requirements.

Leadership

  • PETER ERHARTIC

    Peter’s diverse experience in public and private real estate spans a range uses and scales, including mixed-income housing, the adaptive reuse of historic buildings, and district-scale master-planned development.

    Prior to founding Building Block, Peter was Director of Real Estate at the I-195 Redevelopment District, a quasi-public state agency responsible for the redevelopment of 26-acres of land in Downtown Providence where an elevated highway once ran. Previously, Peter led projects for developers in New York City and Boston.

    Peter holds a masters degree in real estate from Harvard University, a bachelors degree in history from Connecticut College, and is an AICP certified city planner.

    He lives in Providence with his wife, Anne, and their two children, Marlow and Graham. In his free time he can be found on the water, rowing on the Seekonk River or swimming in Buzzards Bay, and enjoying the culture, food, and urbanism of Providence, New York City, and Boston.
